MENTAL FITNESS

All stress & suffering start and end here.

"It's my job. It's my partner. It's my kids, my debt, or my health". This is how we talk about stress, as if stress is woven into particular circumstances and anytime they show up in our lives, stress automatically comes with it. These associations are real, yes. But only because we've created these patterns.

Do these things truly make you happy, irritated, anxious, or stressed?

How?

[contemplate this]

The only true CREATOR OF EXPERIENCE, is the mind; EXTERNAL SOURCES ARE NOT IN CONTROl.

AND THANK GOODNESS for that, because we have little control over external circumstances.

THE MIND is the only area of life in which you have full reign.

Every time you postpone your happiness until your work is over, or your partner is doing what you want, or the weather is different; the more you solidify your dependency. You weaken yourself each time you place conditions on your experience of life. You disempower yourself, each time you give up the ability to create your emotional experience, by making outside forces responsible.

The future holds nothing more for you - a new car? Maybe. A different job? Sure. A debt-free existence? Yes, it's possible! Work towards those things. But in the meantime, anxiety & stress don't need to riddle your days. They will not help you. Nothing in the future can truly save you from your stress; your mind creates it, and only your awareness of this moment resurrects it.

Mental Fitness is the answer to emotional freedom.

Physical fitness and nutrition are rapidly becoming synonymous with health, yet the mind is neglected. It is the mind that is responsible for one's ability to stick to their physical fitness program - it rules the body in numerous ways. Incorporating a fitness program to include the mind will allow for major shifts in all aspects of one's life.

That's what meditation is. It is a mental fitness practice to gain understanding of the nature of the mind, and how to work with it.

The results?

Reduced anxiety. Less stress. Ability to stop reacting and begin responding to life circumstances.

Sense of fulfillment, connection, & deep joy.

Mental Fitness is the end of stress & suffering, and the beginning of your contentment & your freedom.
